Mind in Kingston has grown significantly over the last few years, increasing its income, and expanding its team as well as its range and provision. We have seen a need for more mental health support across our communities, and the changing landscape of commissioning and funding has offered us new opportunities, especially working in partnership with other Local Mind Associations (LMAs), local charities, the local authority, and the NHS.

We are recruiting a Director of Services & Operations to work alongside our Director of Services & Development and CEO as part of the Senior Leadership Team of the charity. This role will have responsibility for operational areas including organisational growth, HR, and Health and Safety, and provide strategic leadership. Focusing on service delivery and improvement, this role will oversee a range of front-line services and programmes, line managing staff and volunteers that directly report to them.

Mind in Kingston continues to play its part in serving our communities and we expect our role to grow and change. The Director of Services & Operations will share responsibility for ensuring that Mind in Kingston is appropriately funded as part of the sustainability and wider development of the charity.

We are looking for a highly capable, motivated and organised individual with experience of managing services and/ or operations in a charity setting, excellent people and line management skills, and knowledge and experience of health and safety at work, employment law, and HR procedures.

You will be passionate about supporting the mental wellbeing of your local community and providing services that offer a safe, non-judgemental space that treats our beneficiaries equally, fairly, and with compassion. We particularly welcome people with lived experience of mental health issues.

Mind in Kingston Director of Services & Operations

Hours: 28 hours per week (4 days)
Salary: £35,000 per annum pro rata
Base: Mind in Kingston Office in Kingston upon Thames/ home working
