Job Description

We are a successful medium size charity working in partnership with individuals and agencies to improve the quality of life and promote the physical, social and mental well-being of refugees and asylum seekers in the UK in particular London helping to reduce health inequalities, social exclusion and poverty and enabling positive integration.

We wish to appoint a highly motivated and experienced ESOL Manager to join our friendly and busy ESOL team. The ESOL Manager will be responsible managing and developing our formal/informal classes ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of all aspects of ESOL provision within NCG.

They will oversee the running of the ESOL service ensuring an effective system of work supervision in in place for the volunteer and paid ESOL staff, verifying quality standards and supervising operational delivery.

The successful candidate will have an appropriate English language teaching qualification (Diploma in Education & Training, DTLLS, PGCE or equivalent with ESOL specialism) and substantial teaching experience, preferably gained working in a community learning environment. You will have experience of managing a project, supervising/managing staff/volunteers in the workplace, and of developing services.
