The Anna Freud Centre is a world-leading mental health charity for children, young people and their families. Our mission is to close the gap in wellbeing and mental health by advancing, translating, delivering, and sharing the best science and practice with everyone who impacts the lives of children, young people and their families. More information about the Anna Freud Centre is available on our website.
We value diversity and aim to have diverse workforce that reflects the community and our service users, in line with our vision, values and inclusion commitments. We encourage applications from all sections of the community.
We are currently recruiting for a Head of Service to clinically lead and manage Harrow Horizons, an emotional well-being service for children and families in Harrow commissioned by Harrow Council and NHS NW London Integrated Care Board (ICB). The primary focus of this service is to provide and early intervention and prevention service, with the aim of supporting children & young people age 0 – 19 (up to 25 with SEND) to overcome mild- moderate mental health difficulties. The Anna Freud Centre is delighted to be providing a new and expanded partnership service to include a blended model of training, support, advice and consultation for professionals and families. The offer includes time-limited evidence-based interventions for children, young people and their families and will be further developed to be framed around the THRiVE model.
The Head of Service will be responsible for safe, effective and evidence-based delivery of interventions conducted by practitioners from a range of backgrounds, and will develop excellent working relationships with key stakeholders in the borough. The post-holder will have significant training and supervisory responsibility, supported by the Head of Clinical Help, Schools Division at the Anna Freud Centre.
This is an exciting opportunity to join one of our thriving Clinical Help offers in the Schools Division. Successful candidates will demonstrate extensive experience of clinical supervision, implementing interventions with children and young people in schools and confident communication skills to effectively liaise with external agencies and represent the Harrow Horizon Service at a high standard. Please refer to the Job Profile for all the role requirements.
