Chair, Treasurer and Trustees Needed 

Join us in strengthening East Surrey’s vibrant voluntary sector

VASE (Voluntary Action in South East Surrey) is seeking passionate individuals to join our Board of Trustees during an exciting period of growth and transformation. We are particularly looking to fill the key roles of Chair and Treasurer, as well as welcoming applications for general trustee positions.

As the infrastructure organisation supporting the voluntary, community, faith, and social enterprise sectors across East Surrey, our trustees play a vital role in guiding our strategic direction and ensuring we continue to make a meaningful difference in our communities.

We are particularly interested in hearing from individuals with:

· Strategic leadership experience (for Chair position)

· Financial management expertise (for Treasurer position)

· Strategic leadership experience (for Chair position)

· Knowledge of the voluntary sector

· Experience in governance, risk management, or business development

· A strong commitment to supporting local communities

These are voluntary positions requiring attendance at approximately 6 board meetings per year, occasional subcommittee meetings and work in between. We offer a hybrid approach to meetings and are committed to being inclusive and accessible to all.

Our trustees work closely with our staff team to ensure VASE continues to provide essential support to local voluntary organisations and volunteers across East Surrey.
